Your appointment will be conducted personally by Dr. Veronika Stavrou. Depending on the gestational age and the purpose of the scan, the ultrasound may be performed abdominally or transvaginally (internally). Dr. Stavrou will explain the approach before beginning and ensure you are comfortable throughout.
You will receive a full explanation of all findings during the appointment. A written report will be provided for your records and, where relevant, shared with your Gynaecologist or Obstetrician.
For an early viability scan (before 10 weeks): a full bladder may improve image quality — drink 500ml of water one hour before your appointment.
Bring any previous scan reports or blood test results if available.
For the NT scan (11–13+6 weeks): full bladder is required
